Our Home

Beth David is peacefully yet conveniently located on 4½ largely wooded acres just off Conshohocken State Road, very near Gladwyne's town center. The beautiful sanctuary, the light-filled Atrium, and the library, gift shop, and offices, were built for Beth David when the congregation first purchased the land and school building from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. The school was originally used by St. John Vianney, in Gladwyne, whose rectory in front of the synagogue is still in use.

Now Beth David is undergoing an exciting building renovation. The first project is the newly completed and unveiled parking lot situated across Vaughan's Lane. Just underway is the building of a new school wing which will include a Chapel, a lovely new youth lounge, and a dedicated art room. The third phase, whose anticipated start date will be January 2011, will be to renovate the existing school building as well as the addition of an expanded gift shop and library. Also in process is a "living room", a comfortable place for members to gather perhaps before or after a service, or while waiting to pick up children. The last stage will be to renovate the existing classroom building. Along with the new building, the result will be an attractive space for our Religious School students and teachers, and the many and varied projects they carry out.
