Beth David is peacefully and conveniently located on 4½ largely wooded acres just off Conshohocken State Road, very near the Gladwyne town center. The beautiful sanctuary, the light-filled Atrium, and the library, gift shop, and offices, were built for Beth David when the congregation first purchased the land and school building from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. The school was originally used by St. John Vianney in Gladwyne, whose rectory in front of the synagogue is still in use.
Beth David has undergone an exciting building renovation. The first project was the expanded parking lot situated across Vaughan Lane. Also completed is the construction of a new school wing which includes a Chapel, a lovely new youth lounge, and a dedicated art room. The third phase, completed in 2012, was renovation of the existing school building as well as the addition of an expanded gift shop and library, as well as a "living room," a comfortable place for members to gather before or after a service, while waiting to pick up children and for meetings. The final stage was renovation of the existing classroom building. Along with the new building, the result is an attractive space for our Religious School students and teachers and the many and varied projects they carry out.
