Shabbat

All members and families of all ages are welcome at all services.

Friday Services

Beth David welcomes Shabbat at 6:30pm.  For most weeks Shabbat services will begin at 6:30 pm, followed by an oneg or a congregational Shabbat dinner. Occasionally, when indicated on the calendar, a special program or meal will begin at 6:30pm, and services will follow at 7:30pm. But if you show up at 6:30, you'll always be on time!

Shabbat Morning Services

Most Shabbat mornings from September-June, our Shabbat morning schedule is as follows:

  9:15 am - Torah Study & Bagels
10:30 am - Shabbat Service

Our Shabbat observance is always open to the wider community. No prior experience is required for Torah study. We would love for you to celebrate with us!

Community Shabbat - Learn…Pray…Nosh…Several times a year, special Community Shabbatot convene on Saturday mornings where our school students attend school on Saturday rather than Sunday. In lieu of Torah Study, Rabbi Kalisch or another learned scholar conducts a learning experience for our adults, and then we all assemble to pray and eat together as one community.

The schedule is:

9:30am Religious School for students and Life Long Learning for adults
11:
00am Community Shabbat Service
12:
15pm Shabbat Luncheon.

We do not meet on Shabbat mornings during the summer.
