HOLIDAY MITZVAH PROJECT

CALLING ON BETH DAVID TO SHARE THE LOVE

TWO OPPORTUNITIES FOR HELPING OUR COMMUNITY THIS HOLIDAY SEASON:

1. We invite you to support a family at Mastery Charter Harrity Elementary School in Cobbs Creek. The staff there has identified families that have lost a beloved family member in the past 6 months due to violence, Covid-19, or other underlying health related issues. This has caused great hardship on the family who is struggling to meet their basic needs while dealing with their loneliness and grief. As a Beth David community we invite you to “adopt” a family and provide a full bag of supplies for the holiday season bringing light and joy to those around us.

See SignUp Genius for a list of supplies that the families have specifically requested. You can bring them to the drive-through Hanukkah Festival of Fire and Lights on December 15 or drop them off outdoors at Beth David on December 17 from 3-4:30pm. Questions: call/text Melissa Anderson at 610-812-4677.

2. We are also collecting NEW winter hats, scarves and gloves for children and adults for Neighbors Helping Neighbors on the Main Line, a nonprofit organization that serves as a continual source of support to some of the most vulnerable residents in Lower Merion Township. Created in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, NHN provides critical food and supplies. Help keep our neighbors warm this winter by donating these items. You may drop them off at Beth David as described above.
