Social Action at Purim
Happy Purim! It is a holiday tradition to give to those in need, and here are ways you can help, both across the world and locally.
Help Repair the Suffering in Ukraine
The World Union for Progressive Judaism has opened a Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund. Money will be spent on individuals and communities to ensure their safety and well-being. If the conflict escalates further, your money will become crucial and necessary help for many people. If the tension eases, the fund will be spent on the development of the progressive Jewish community in Ukraine. Beth David and the Reform Movement support this fund. You can donate directly online or write a check to Beth David and designate it for the WUPJ fund.

Book Drive for Women and Daughter Celebration at Harrity Mastery Charter Elementary School
Just like Esther and Vashti are the heroines of our Purim story, we are happy to continue our relationship with Harrity Elementary through providing books for a special women-daughter celebration honoring girls and the caregiving women past and present in their lives. Children’s Book World has helped identify a list of recommended books, albums, coloring books and workbooks, for students K-5. We invite you to purchase a book by calling the bookstore at 610-642-6274. Mention it is for the Beth David project. We will pick up all ordered books before the deadline of Sunday, March 20.
Coming to the Purim Festival? Bring a book with you!
