Rabbi Kalisch – Finding Meaning in the Words of the Prayerbook
The translations in our prayerbook help us understand what the Hebrew words of liturgy mean. But sometimes, reading the translations doesn’t do much to help make the words meaningful. We’ll consider a few different strategies for how to find personal meaning in the prayers, including using the tools of literary analysis for one common prayer. Skeptics, believers, those new to Jewish prayer, and Shabbat regulars all welcome!

12:00pm – Brunch, catered by Shavit of  Comet Catering featuring special Israeli dishes.
