Young children are instinctively spiritual, looking at the world around them with wonder and curiosity. Our job is to help you nurture that spirituality, and to make your kids feel comfortable running around our sanctuary from a young age! Children are welcome at all services at Beth David, but Tot Shabbat is a service just for our littlest ones.

Tot Shabbat is designed for toddlers and preschoolers, but babies are frequent groupies, and older siblings are welcome to come and be our helpers.

The 30-minute service typically includes Shabbat songs and prayers in English and Hebrew, a story, a chance to march around the sanctuary with a huggable stuffed Torah, and of course, grape juice and challah. All are welcome!

DANCE PARTY + STORYTELLING + JEWISH VALUES!

*AGES 6 AND UNDER

We partner with our friends at ZoomDance for our littles and their families! It’s an outdoor dance party that is part storytelling adventure, mixed with a swirl of learning about values like kindness and curiosity. Interfaith families, first timers, grandparents with grandtots, and siblings all welcome!

We know the ages of our Beth David kids, what we DON’T know is the ages of our grandkids. Grandparents with grandchildren who live locally and would like to bring your grandtots to any of our tot programs, (their parents are also invited) please supply us with your name, your grandkids’ names, and their dates of birth. We can alert you as more programming becomes available.
