The Harmony School at Beth David
A vibrant new program for families seeking a creative, joyful community where their children can thrive. Nestled in the woods with sunlit classrooms and a nature playground, our intimate, play-based program pulses with music, movement, art, science, and hands-on exploration. Rooted in Jewish values and culture while celebrating diverse stories and identities, we cultivate an intentional space of connection, compassion, and belonging. Our Reggio Emilia-based emergent curriculum embraces who children are and makes space for who they’re becoming—growing kids who are bold in themselves and know how to care for the world around them.

What’s important to us at
The Harmony School?
Play
Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, our emergent curriculum pays close attention to children’s budding interests, offering them learning opportunities engaging all their senses and their natural curiosity.
Arts
Harmony days activate all of students’ senses with music, dance, and process-driven art—expansive experiences that open up a loving space for children to explore who they are, experiment boldly, and feel safe making mistakes.
Jewish Values
Embracing children’s natural spirituality, we offer a rich depth of Jewish values and culture while creating a multicultural, interfaith space that honors the dignity in all people and nature. Children have space to develop their own passions, flourish in their identity, and experience belonging.
Community
With a mixed-age classroom, children have ample opportunity to practice care and communication. Small ratios allow personalized attention for each learner.
Nature
Beth David Reform Congregation’s long-standing dedication to tikkun olam continues with The Harmony School. Children will spend lots of time both on our nature playground and adventuring in the wooded spaces around the synagogue – exploring, discovering, and learning to care for the world around them.
Inclusion
Through books and stories, but also through the very fabric of how we teach and interact, Harmony is a space of celebrating the uniqueness and fullness of each individual.
