3 Part Workshop, attendance at all three is appreciated:
Mondays May 8,15, 22 – 7:00pm

Create your own piece of Jewish art for your Shabbat table! Rabbi Gila Ruskin will share her stunning design, and guide participants through the process of selecting a color palette, setting each recycled glass tile in place, grouting and sealing the finished product. No experience necessary!

The cost for materials (paid directly to Rabbi Ruskin) is $35 for members, $60 for nonmembers, which reflects a subsidy. If the cost is prohibitive, please contact Jill.  Register here; payment by check at the door made payable to Rabbi Ruskin or in advance by credit card on Venmo. Questions? Ask Chedva.

NOTE: In order to complete your art project you will need to attend all 3 classes and, sorry, no refunds will be available should you need to miss any classes.

Rabbi Gila Colman Ruskin creates mosaic midrash to add depth and breadth to the Torah text.  Retiring from the pulpit rabbinate has allowed her to explore the urban life of West Philly, to spend joyful hours with her grandchildren and her 100 year old mother, and to find the whimsical/spiritual voice of poetry and mosaics.  Over 20 of her midrash mosaics have been on exhibit at Beth David Reform Congregation since November, 2022.
