With Rabbi Gila Ruskin
The Hamsa is a Jewish symbol of protection that is also shared by many other cultures. Create your own piece of Jewish art with mosaic artist Rabbi Gila Ruskin. No prior experience necessary. Rabbi Ruskin will guide you through the process of selecting a color palette, and setting tesserae (material used in the construction of a mosaic) including recycled glass tile, beads, stones, shells, and any small keepsakes that you would like to bring.
The second session, on February 2, will focus on grouting, painting the grout, and finishing your original 12 inch hamsa.
The cost for materials is $25 payable directly to Rabbi Ruskin.
RSVP to Jill, jcooper@bdavid.org and indicate how many will be joining the class each session:
January 26, and February 2.
Rabbi Gila Colman Ruskin is an inspirational spiritual leader, a creative educator, a gifted writer, a sensitive pastoral counselor, an enthusiastic song leader, a passionate advocate for social justice, and a talented mosaic artist.
