Join us for Koffee Kallah on March 3 at 10:00am where our own Paula Greenberg and Don Friedman will guide us in learning about Leonard Cohen and his six decade-long career as a poet, novelist, and musician. We will explore his early life in Montreal, as the grandson of a Talmudic scholar, to his years as a poet and lyricist who didn’t perform his own music until he was 32 years old, appearing for the first time on stage with Judy Collins. We will view selections from the Leonard Cohen documentary, Hallellujah, and Cantor Goodlev will lead a discussion of some of the Jewish connections in his music.
