Cantor Lilia Kazansky, zt”l, Musician in Residence Weekend
Honoring our Cantor Lauren Goodlev’s 10-Year Anniversary
Featuring Musician, Elana Arian
Come together for our Spring 2026 Fundraiser to celebrate and honor our Cantor’s ten years at Beth David.
The weekend kicks off with a Shalom Shabbat with services designed to welcome all congregants, and especially our Beth David families with children. We’ll have a catered dinner at 5:30pm, Family Shabbat services (featuring the Mazeltones and the Choir) at 6:30pm, and end with an Oneg. Feel free to bring your baked goods for everyone to try at the Oneg!
We continue on Saturday morning for a musical Torah Study at 9:15am. Bagels and coffee will be provided.
The weekend continues with a Havdalah Schmooze (with a French Fry Bar!) at 5:00pm on Saturday, followed by a Concert with Guest Artist Elana Arian at 6:00pm, and Dinner with an auction. Babysitting and dinner will be provided for children.
A composer, multi-instrumentalist, and prayer leader, Elana Arian is one of the most important voices in contemporary Jewish music. A nationally touring artist serving 30-40 distinct communities each year, Elana’s music is an important part of Jewish life across the globe. She has released five albums of original music to date and she is the subject of a dedicated composer’s anthology. Elana has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Tanglewood, and perhaps most memorably, five separate appearances at the (Obama) White House.
