GETTING READY FOR THANKSGIVING?
So are our friends at Ebenezer Temple Pentecostal Church in West Philadelphia, as well as those who receive meals from Caring for Friends. We are taking this opportunity to share our gratitude and inspire us to help others.
▪ | You may remember that last year’s Beth David mitzvah food drive enabled the Church to feed around 100 people by serving Thanksgiving dinner and assembling safe “to go” Thanksgiving dinners for homebound individuals. This year they are repeating their “hybrid “model and are requesting our support again. They will cook and feed homeless families onsite as well as provide “to go” bags. In addition, their youth group is organizing baskets for families with cooking capabilities. We’ve committed to helping them acquire the needed turkeys, stuffing, onions, celery and sweet potatoes for these Thanksgiving meals. |
▪ | We are also collecting food and packing meals for Caring for Friends, to help provide more food items for those in need. Entrees and side dishes (pre-made—either purchased and defrosted (if frozen) or home made–are both needed, as well as lots of people power!! |
Can you share your abundance and your gratitude for communities that feed and care for one another?
